The beauty of this island could attract many tourists, both domestically and internationally. This also becomes the reason for Niclas Adler, a Swedish investor as well as the commissioner of PT Gili Kalong Lestari (GKL), to invest in this island.
Niclas Adler stated, he wants to make Gili Kalong as a world class eco-tourism. His company is already prepared for the investment to build this island, which will cost $100 million or IDR1.4 trillion.
Moreover, Niclas stated that he was really interested in Gili Kalong. He had never seen a unique island with curved hills, a beautiful savannah, and a clean beach such as this place.
“I have never found such a beautiful place in other countries. I have already visited 50 countries, and this place is really fantastic,” he said.
Furthermore, the site plan or development plan for Gili Kalong, he said, will use renewable energy and natural materials that are environmentally friendly. All of the raw materials that will be used in its construction are made of wood and stone.
